This pre-conference training course provides owners, operators, and engineers with a practical overview of hydroelectric performance measurement and how it can be applied throughout the asset lifecycle. Participants will learn how unit performance is quantified, selected and recognized per test codes.
Presented by: 
An interactive workshop exploring modern hydropower O&M, including workforce development, training, maintenance strategy, inspection planning, and asset reliability. Led by Babar Khan and Marc Mantha, participants will gain practical insights to support safety, operational excellence, and long-term asset performance.
Pre-conference workshops take place on Wednesday, May 12, 2027, and are an add-on to registration. The OWA now offers a workshop bundle to attend both workshops for one discounted price.

The Ontario Waterpower Association is issuing a Call for Technical Abstracts for the Power of Water Canada Technical Conference & Trade Show.
Abstracts will be accepted in two main categories: Operations & Maintenance and Case Study/Lessons Learned.
Abstract submission deadline: Friday, November 20, 2026.
The Ontario Waterpower Association's annual Recognition Awards Ceremony, held during the Power of Water Canada Conference, is an opportunity to honor outstanding contributions to the waterpower industry. Awards will be presented on Thursday, May 13, 2027.

Submitting a nomination allows you to celebrate individuals and organizations that have demonstrated excellence in innovation, leadership, and sustainable practices within the waterpower industry. Don't miss the chance to recognize those shaping the future of waterpower in Ontario. Submit your nomination no later than Monday, March 15, 2027.
